The lecture aims at introducing the main technical characteristics of satellite systems (orbits, bands, protocols, etc.), highlighting the technical criticality’s and solutions to mitigate them and to maximise performance. Services and applications for which satellite systems can represent an optimal choice as element of the infrastructure will be presented. Finally, the fundamental role that they can play in the development of 5G system will be highlighted, with particular regard to content management and distribution, which represent most of the traffic generated in the telecommunication networks, guaranteeing an improvement of cost effectivenesThe seminar focus on a new perspective to overcome this drawbacks by combining the holographic technology with Artificial Intelligence and 5G connection to speed up the computational processing and permits fast connection with central laboratory or hospital Prof. Michele Luglio
